We face many choices in life—what kind of work we will do, where we will live, who we will marry, what we will wear, what we will eat, plus many other choices every day. Every choice affects us and often also affects others. Accepting or rejecting what God says is the main choice in this life. It affects how we live here on earth and where we go when we die. Therefore it is important to know what God says in His Word which is His communication to us.
How do our choices in this life affect our now and our eternity? In John 10:10 Jesus says that he is come that we might have life more abundant—more full and satisfying. John 3 tells us that we can have eternal life ONLY through Jesus. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)
